Sec Shape 6

Quantities pulled from the model measured the way your contract needs them, and traceable to every element.

INTRO
Cost certainly starts with quantities you can defend. Manual take-offs from 2D drawings are slow, and one missed layer can sink a tender.
We extract quantities straight from BIM models or build the model first when there isn’t one. Then we structure them to the agreed method of measurement and hand over a BOQ that ties back to the design, line by line.
What we deliver
Model-based quantity take-off — quantities extracted directly from Revit, Tekla and IFC models
BOQ preparation — to NRM2, POMI, CESMM4, SMM7 or your own format
2D take-off — when there’s no model, from PDF and DWG drawings
Material take-offs — steel tonnage, rebar, concrete, MEP and façade quantities for procurement
5D BIM — cost data linked to model elements, so quantities update as the design changes
Change quantification — what moved between revisions, measured and reported
Measurement mark-ups — color-coded drawings and model views showing exactly what was measured
What we cover
Civil and structural works
Architecture and finishes
MEP services
Façade and envelope
Infrastructure and external works
How we work
Audit the model — we check it’s fit for quantities first: missing elements, wrong categories, duplicates
Map — elements mapped to the measurement standard and classification
Extract — quantities pulled from the model, with 2D take-off filling any gaps
Validate — cross-checked against drawings and spot-measured
Format — BOQ issued in your template, with mark-ups for traceability
Update — re-measured as revisions come through, with changes flagged
Why TXG for BOQ & Quantification
We know when a model lies — we’re BIM specialists first, so we catch the modelling errors that quietly distort a BOQ.
Traceable to the element — every line in the BOQ links back to something you can see in the model.
Fast re-measure — design changes are re-quantified in days, not weeks.
